Thursday, September 13, 2012, 11:25 AM ETAU Optronics (AUO -2.6%) slips after the DOJ asks a federal judge to fine the company $1B in response to the company's March conviction for its complicity in a 5-year LCD price-fixing scheme. The DOJ also wants two AUO execs to serve 10 years in prison and pay $1M fines. Other LCD panel makers, including LG Display (LPL) and Sharp (SHCAY.PK), have already agreed to pay over $890M in fines related to the scheme.
