Industry insiders say labor and pension costs more in line with the UAW contract in the U.S. are a must for Ford (F +1.4%), General Motors (GM +2.5%), Chrysler (FIATY.PK), while the CAW wants to avoid a broad two-tier wage system that allows automakers to hire new workers at lower wages.
