Tuesday, September 18, 2012, 5:01 PM ETKnight Capital Group's (KCG) head of trading algorithms, Joseph Wald, has left the company , marking the trading firm's first senior-level departure since a trading glitch in August resulted in a $440M loss to the company. Wald, a managing director who was responsible for the oversight of the firms trading programs sold to institutions, says he decided to leave to "pursue other opportunities."
