Wednesday, September 19, 2012, 7:37 AM ETThe push by restaurants into malls hits its highest levels in seven years as still-growing chains take advantage of the shuttering of Circuit City, Blockbuster, and Borders locations. Close to 16% of new leases at malls this year are for eateries, up from 11.1% in 2009. Chipotle (CMG) and Buffalo Wild Wings (BWLD) see the logic, preferring to find available takeover spaces near malls over new development if possible.
