    The iPhone 5 has gone on sale in Australia, Asia and Europe with the usual frenzy and queues around the block, and is due to launch in the U.S. as well. However, in France, a union representing 25% of Apple's (AAPL) employees has voted to strike today after the breakdown of talks on pay and conditions.
