Ellison has a record of managing his personal finances poorly. Just google old articles from SFGate. If I remember correctly, his accountant was complaining that this guy was spending money like water.

Or.... maybe it's all a ponzi scheme whereby he's the one buying all the Oracle licenses :). After all as long as the stock value rises faster than Oracle license cost, things should be cozy. J/K guys.
