    European solar firms have filed another complaint with the EC accusing their Chinese rivals of benefiting from illegal subsidies. Germany's SolarWorld claims the subsidies amount to 20x Chinese consumption and 2x global demand. The complaint comes a day the China Development Bank renewed its pledge to support 12 local vendors, including Suntech (STP -8.9%), Trina (TSL +1.8%), and Yingli (YGE +2.4%). (previous)

    Even the Chinese may not want to spend enough money to rescue these dogs. Was LDK in that illustrious group?

    Nope, LDK, JKS, and JASO weren't among the companies receiving the pledge, according to the Bloomberg piece. But there have been a lot of subsidy sources to go around.

    Maybe China should stop buying Mercedes and BMW and of course Airbus which is entirely subsidized by the European governments.

    I think China, Russia, US and other countries should buy as much subsidized goods as possible from Europe, e. g. Airbus. Can't think of a more generous offer by the europeans and their taxpayers at this time of economic crisis.
    Of course, we in Europe should not take the generous offer by the Chinese with regards to solar cells.
