    Qualcomm (QCOM) will reportedly begin offering a reference design in Q1 for phones supporting China Mobile's 3G TD-SCDMA network, and potentially its budding 4G TD-LTE network. The reference design includes Qualcomm's MSM8930 Snapdragon processor (a cheaper alternative to the powerful MSM8960),  and should give Qualcomm a chance to take share in a TD-SCDMA baseband chip market dominated by Spreadtrum (SPRD), Marvell (MRVL), and MediaTek.
