Friday, September 28, 2012, 5:11 PM ETBuried within the prospectus for Time Warner Cable's (TWC) 46.4M-share public offering of Clearwire (CLWR -9.5%) stock is a disclosure that Comcast (CMCSA) has notified Clearwire it plans to convert its 88.5M Class B shares (6.1% of all outstanding shares) into Class A shares, which it would be free to sell to the public. With Comcast having abandoned its wireless ambitions this year, it's not far-fetched to imagine some or all of those shares being sold in the near future.

Why is everyone selling clwr.
If I recall correctly, DirecTV specifically asked the FCC to encourage the cable companies to divest their investments from Clearwire so we might see a major deal in the very near future.
