    Taking questions after his boilerplate speech defending the Fed, Ben Bernanke says Milton Friedman would have supported the central bank's actions.     Friedman was a staunch critic of Greenspan and his record, prior to his death. Bernanke is Greenspan on steroids. Obviously the Bernank never read "Free to Chose," or "Money Mischief," or if he had, he has consciously negated all the concepts written. Friedman himself began to question QTM and made the point that institutional reform (meaning removing onerous regulation and reducing government spending) had more influence on "price stability."

    If QE was the (is) the answer to our problems, why does Bernanke have to defend his actions?? One need not explain their actions if it is obvious they are the right actions.
