The company blames the miss on weak segment profit impacted by unabsorbed fixed overhead costs due to lower sales and production volumes and higher feedstock ore costs. Net income is also expected to be lower, ranging between $30M - $34M, compared to $85.9M in 3Q11. Shares -1.4% AH.
