    ConocoPhillips (COP) will not exercise its option to take over as operator with a 70% stake in three concessions in Poland's Baltic basin, a local operator says. The news raises new questions about Poland's shale prospects a few weeks after ExxonMobil said it would give up two of its six shale gas exploration licenses in the country.

  • Oswald Clint at Bernstein called Poland a dud several years ago based on the geology. He deserves some credit for the call. I haven't kept up with it recently but I assume if they haven't already MRO will be another domino to fall over in Poland.
