Nintendo's (NTDOY.PK) Wii U appear to be selling like hotcakes with numerous outlets reporting to be out of stock already, well-ahead of a November 18th launch in the U.S. The news is highly relevant to GameStop (GME) as it sits on the crossroads of unofficially turning itself into an Apple product reseller if the new console doesn't help drive sales for its legacy business higher.

  • I really want one but I'm not going to pay a 78% mark up from Amazon's third party sellers! Guess Ill have to wait it out.

  • why don't you just buy it somewhere else? I know it's sold out almost everywhere but I'm sure you'll find it with patience. Btw I'm glad I bought a lot of shares

  • The real question is, who's preordering the system - resellers or people who are actually interested in the Wii U?
