Cisco (CSCO) announces a management shakeup. Worldwide sales chief Rob Lloyd has been named President and head of development and sales, and COO Gary B. Moore has been named President as well. Americas sales chief Chuck Robbins will take over Lloyd's old job. The moves come shortly after CEO John Chambers said he might retire in 2-4 years, and named Moore, Lloyd, and Robbins (among others) as potential successors - judging by this move, Moore and Lloyd could have the inside track.

  • Dear Mr. Chambers,
How 'bout you leaving in 2 to 4 months instead of 2-4 years?
You'd get richer MUST FASTER as would we shareholders who would get about a 10 point bump as a result of your announcing your departure sooner rather than later.
I mean, you've built a wonderful company; buy an island in Tahiti and enjoy the rest of your days. Seriously!
