The online video kingpin has already invested hundreds of millions in its channels, and claims 25 of them now average over 1M views/week. Exec Robert Kyncl declares the investments to be "gear three" for YouTube, and says a "gear four" that will yield better revenue predictability for partners is on the way - he might be talking about a subscription service.
