Tax regimes matter and the U.K.'s efforts at improving its competitiveness are paying off, with at least 20 multinationals putting together plans to relocate headquarters to the country. The U.S. is the largest source of those planning a move despite IRS efforts to make it harder for firms to change their domicile.

  • This is the problem with the US, we try to tell companies they can't leave instead of trying to understand why they want to leave in the first place; then attempting to reasonably correct it.

  • Sounds like the result of having lawyers run the country instead of businessmen. Only businessmen know how to change a concept into a reality (e.g. Steve Jobs). Lawyers only worry about form and process. Not growth.

  • According to the current administration, higher taxes do not affect business decisions, and no business would ever move its headquarters to enjoy a lower tax rate!. I wish they'd stop living in a bubble and come join the rest of us in the real world.

  • Thats the problem, he's not a businessman. He'd never run a state or large business, and yet somehow the majority of voters in this country thought it was a good idea to give him a shot at running the country. Senators without CEO or gubernatorial experience lack the experience to be president, I dont care what party they are from.
