The service, which is the product of Akamai's February acquisition of Blaze Technology, demonstrates Akamai's efforts to stand out from rivals such as Limelight and Level 3 by offering differentiated services for content that (unlike commoditized media delivery services) requires low latency. The efforts have been paying off.
