Earlier this week, Southwest Airlines (LUV +0.1%) moved the other direction, launching an off-peak winter sale on select flights. The bigger picture: Lower fuel prices and higher baggage fees have the bottom lines of airline companies moving in the right direction despite sluggish industry demand.
