CFO Douglas Braunstein is likely to leave his post at JPMorgan Chase (JPM) for a different one at the bank, sources tell the WSJ. He lost some stature in a July shuffle and was scrutinized over the bank's CIO trading-loss mess when he (along with Jamie Dimon) dismissed news reports about the near-$6B loss.

  • Interesting that JPM is higher today. I would not recommend buying a stock where the CFO is being replaced the day before earnings are released.

I am not suggesting JPM will have bad earnings. Just that the risk is higher and it is not clear why one would choose to buy today.
