    American Airlines parent company AMR (AAMRQ.PK) asks a bankruptcy court in a court filing for permission to borrow up to $1.5B in order to refinance current debt. The carrier says it will secure the debt with its fleet of aircraft.

  • Who in their right mind would lend them any money if they are not paying on their existing debt? The court should force them to make their existing loans current - if they can't make the payment sell all the planes and give us back as much of the money as they can.
