Friday, October 12, 2012, 11:42 AM ETMicrosoft (MSFT) reportedly plans to spend $1.5B-$1.8B to promote Windows 8, whose Metro interface and (via Windows RT) ARM processor support arguably make it the biggest refresh for Windows in 17 years. A marketing blitz starts this weekend.
