The White House has denied an NYT report that it has agreed in principle for the U.S. to hold one-on-one talks with Iran over the latter's nuclear program following secret exchanges between officials from the countries. However, National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor says the U.S. is "prepared to meet bilaterally."

  • The Iranians will negotiate until they have enough enriched uranium to build an Islamist nuclear arsenal capable of defended themselves from attack and eliminating Israel. Whether they will use it is another question, but if the U.S.is serious about preventing a Persian Nuke, which I do not believe, talk won't get it done.

  • Election. Year. Politics.

Trial balloon helpfully floated by one of the administration's usual propaganda outlets.

  • Scaremongering. NYTimes probably intended to derail diplomacy because they want another war. Iran program is not secrete its done under IAEA inspections. The only way they can build a bomb is if someone starts a war. Then they will withdraw from IAEA NPT supervision.

  • Did you read my comment ? Do you know what is IAEA? There is political pressure on Obama not to negotiate an settlement along the lines of Japan or other NPT members.. The issue at moment is enrichment not weapons. Most people are ignorant due to media hysteria. listen to this debate .http://on.cfr.org/T9MPtq
