Sunday, October 21, 2012, 8:00 AM ETSince 1926, the S&P 500 has provided an average return of 15.4% when a Democrat was president vs. 7.8% under Republican leaders. However, the trend could be misleading, as research suggests that that Fed monetary policy is much more important. Since 1965, large stocks have provided a yearly return that's almost 12 percentage points greater when the Fed was lowering rates than when it was raising them.

We are dealing with two different evils when talking about politics and political parties. To the casual observer it might seem that they are essentially the same, however they are not.
We've been brought up to think that government is good and business is bad, but that is not the case. Government is like a disease that kills it's host. More government means a ruined America. That is why the constitution is supposed to limit what the federal government can do.
So while all politicians are evil, all politicians are thieves, and no politician should be trusted, there is really a difference between the long term affect of Democrats and Republicans.
But that is not the reason why we should have Republicans in office. The simple fact of the matter is that the Media have chosen sides and they will never hold a Democrat Congress or Democrat President accountable for their actions. They will however, hold Republicans accountable and that is exactly why we should elect Republicans.
It is the only way we have a chance to get something positive done where the Media is watching and reporting every detail.
