Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 6:40 PM ETInterDigital (IDCC) +5.8% AH after announcing a restructuring that will include a $15M-$20M/year reduction in "core" R&D expenses, and a voluntary retirement program it expects will lower expenses by over $10M/year. The company, which has traditionally focused on broad licenses for its mobile IP, is also creating a Solutions unit that will focus on developing "market-ready technologies" such as its M2M and baseband modem IP.
