    As expected, Ford (F) plans to close its factory in Genk in Belgium at the end of the current production cycle in 2014, with the loss of 4,300 jobs, union leaders say after meeting with company execs. The news comes as Ford attempts to stem steep losses in Europe and match capacity with falling demand.

  • The closing of any plant is very sad. Unfortunately, there are times when it must be done to save others. Many plants have been closed over the last few years....I hope it ends sooner rather than later.
