Other retailers (like KSS, M, PIR, AEO) are also increasing temporary hires, and are expected to add a total of 550K-650K jobs this holiday season.

Now that the progressives have been kicked out of office, I'm spending like crazy. Our bitter dislike for progressives caused us to cut way back on spending till we were sure the sorry lot was well on their way out. Notice that it worked too.

They are selling a book promoting pedophilia, and despite complaints, released a statement that they are free to sell what they wish.
True, and as a Father I am free to not promote the abuse of children.
They supposedly pulled the book, but I have and will boycott Amazon for life.

It is unfortunate because they had some good prices and service; however, in these days of rampant immorality and unethical behavior a line has to be drawn, and our children and their future defended.
What progress indeed.
Isn't it amazing how things have gotten so pathetic in this country that we rationalize this form of welfare to work as good news?
How about some "real" jobs that pay $50K, $60K, $70K / year, that require real brain power or that add real value to GDP?
What is even more sad: these jobs will be filled by adults and late twenty somethings rather than teenagers who should be working for that kind of money.
Hey don't worry though, the government will hype all the improved employment numbers from NOV to FEB 2011, just in time for them to fall off the cliff again by spring time.
Wash, rinse, repeat, I guess.
