I guess it makes sense that Microsoft might be interested? Considering Apple has AppleTV/iTunes, Google has Youtube, Amazon has their instant watch. I wonder if this is why Reed dropped off the Microsoft board last month. Mixed feelings.
My gut feeling is that it was a short squeeze because some short sellers were scared about a merger deal and ran out to the door. Only people with insider information + God would know that such a deal is really in the making.
