    Are Halloween candy sales at risk of being muted this year? As trick-or-treating gets delayed up and down the Eastern Seaboard the estimated $2.4B boom in candy sales in front of the holiday could come in light this year. Analysts say it won't be candy manufacturers that take the hit with stores already loaded up, but drugstore chains such as Walgreen (WAG), CVS Caremark (CVS), and Rite Aid (RAD) could see a disappointing holiday haul.

    Candy is the least of Rite Aid's problems. The company refuses to acknowledge and address the fact that , in the vast majority of their stores, customer service still lags way behind that of their closest competitors, CVS and Walgreen's, whose service itself is not of the highest caliber. Lucky for senior management, they answer to their incestuous Board closely tied to them in the majority, and who continues to snooze while senior management acts like they know what they are doing. The "spin" of management is top notch, however.
