Though Electronic Arts (EA +3.7%) reported a 45% Y/Y increase in FQ2 digital revenue - something that covers downloads, mobile and Internet games, and ads - it also saw its social gaming monthly users fall 58% Y/Y to 42M. User activity for The Sims Social has plunged after a strong 2011 reception, and SimCity Social, launched in June, hasn't been a smash hit. EA is hoping Madden NFL 13 Social, due to launch on Facebook and iOS, will reverse its fortunes. (more on EA)
