OK, I feel a little better now.

I tried to bottom-fish HPQ and missed by at least 25%.

Brilliant move on HP's part. Take the guy who was in charge of the Itanic business, who sponsored the ever-so-successful Neoview debacle, someone with absolutely no research credentials, and put him in charge of HP Labs, and in charge of technology strategy as CTO. Way to go, Meg!
