JPMorgan (JPM) is buying MetLife's (MET) $70B bank mortgage servicing portfolio for an undisclosed sum. The deal boosts the size of Chase's $1.1T Servicing business by over 5%. MetLife says its entire retail banking business made up less than 2% of its 2011 operating income. (PR)

  • THIS makes me VERY happy, I don't like my insurance company messing around with banking. I have been concerned about my REITs and LTC ins, but now, with that risk gone, I feel much better, and will prolly add more to my annuities with Met Life.
