The gains come despite the uncertainty caused by the tightness of the presidential race and the high chance that Congress could again end up divided and deadlocked. Dow +0.3%, S&P +0.3%, Nasdaq +0.5%. EU Stoxx 50 +0.6%, London +0.5%, Paris +0.6%, Frankfurt +0.7%.
