Wednesday, November 7, 2012, 4:30 AM ETA federal jury in Texas yesterday ordered Apple (AAPL) to pay VirnetX (VHC) $368.2M for infringing patents for virtual-private-network technology used in Apple’s FaceTime function, which enables consumers to make video calls. The award is less than the $708M that VirnetX was seeking; the company will now seek an order to block the further use of its inventions.
