    Superstorm Sandy hurt United Continental's (UAL) profit by $35M in October and revenue by $90M after the airline canceled 5,300 flights during the month. Traffic -3.3%, capacity -4.4%, combined load factor rose to 82.9% from 82%, and passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) +0.5%-1.5%. (PR)

    You know what hurt their revenue is they are TERRIBLE! Worst merger EVER! United killed Continental.

    Amen...and the worst part is they are adopting UAL policies and doing away with Continentals....Contin... was the the best airline flying...

    Ditto to the above. My parents have lived in Houston for more than 30 years, so naturally I accumulated a large number of Continental FF miles. Once they are gone, my days on United are over.

    For the 15 years prior to the merger, Continental was the best kept secret in air travel. Those days are no more. The only thing we are left with now is a choice of the lesser of the evils. Unfortunately for UAL, they are way down on that list.
