Called by analysts the "Holy Grail" of online shopping, the concept is still a work in progress with margins and keeping customers satisfied major considerations. Also in the game: The United State Postal Service is playing around with same-day delivery of online orders in the San Francisco area, while UPS and FedEx look for a competitive advantage.
