The most noteworthy release is arguably MetroX, an InfiniBand switch line that can support links spanning over10km. InfiniBand switches are typically used to connect hardware in close proximity; MetroX could open up applications where a company needs a high-performance link to span multiple sites. Also introduced: new high-end InfiniBand switches (could go into Oracle's hardware) and networking management software.
