More on Gap (GPS): Q3 earnings came in line on a per share basis but beat on revenue as total sales increased 8% over the prior year. Net profit jumped 60% on stronger margins and growing same-store sales in North America. Gross margin widened to 41.2% from 36.7% as input costs remained steady, but operating expenses rose 11%. The company raised its FY12 earnings view, now seeing $2.20 to $2.25 a share, up from its August view of $1.95 to $2.00. Shares +3% AH.
