    Cisco Systems (CSCO) says it intends to buy enterprise Wi-Fi equipment startup Meraki for $1.2B in cash and retention incentives, and to make it into its Cloud Networking Group. The deal's expected to close in Q2 of Cisco's fiscal 2013 (which ends in January).

  • If so, the acquirer would likely be a cloud services company like CRM, GOOG or maybe YHOO.

    CSCO will stick to hardware and software for network configuration, in line with this acquisition.

  • I could see MSFT buying them just to get the customers. Dropbox works extremely well with Windows 8 btw.
