    Judge Paul Grewal yesterday ordered Apple (AAPL) to provide Samsung (SSNLF.PK) with a full copy of the U.S. company's IP settlement with HTC. Apple had offered a redacted version that doesn't include the royalty rate. Samsung argued that the deal terms are "highly relevant" to Apple's request for a ban on U.S. sales of Samsung smartphones.

    Wonder how this will play out?
    I would imagine Apple knew this would happen when they cut the deal with HTC.

    Apple would not have entered an agreement that undermines their business. Therefore, the release of this info to Samsung cannot hurt Apple. I suspect it will actually frustrate Samsung (For example, HTC may have agreed to the same terms which were previously offered to Samsung).

    A Samsung win could conceivably block sales of Apple's iPod and IPad. That would be in line with a huge earnings drop predicted by the declining trajectory of the stock, putting Apple at a more expensive multiple yet still at a much lower price.

    Don't think that Apple products can't be banned. Apple has plenty of claims against it, and something stinks about all of this.

    On what basis can Samsung block the iPod and iPad? Does anyone seriously believe Apple wholesale ripped off anybody like Google did to Apple?
