    "My fear is they're going to try to mop up all this excess money after the cow is out of the barn, after the inflation expectations have been formed," says Rep. Paul Ryan who believes the Fed is paying attention to the wrong indicators. Fed chief Bernanke testifies before the House Budget Committee tomorrow.

  • Ugh. Let's be honest for a second and fair. I don't think the Fed or Bernanke are not cognizant of what is going on in the economy even though they present the data in a method that conforms to the policy they are pursuing. The question we need to consider is what do they know that we don't that is encouraging them to maintain this policy regardless of the risks.

  • Loved the subdued sarcasm. Your point is well-made. Anyone that would ask "what does he know that we don't" need only go look at his statements from 2006-08 to see how far off he was from reality.

  • I wonder can we as Americans, really endure the personnel hardships, that these deep proposed budget cuts by our Republican elected officials. This Country is comprised of the rich and everybody else. The cuts will affect everybody else, not the rich. Americans are use to not having to suffer, living a pretty good life. When these cuts take affect, and our life style is seriously reduced, what will be our reaction. I'm not saying budgets to not have to be cut, but every action comes with a costs. I think the everybody else, has not examined the costs
