    Wal-Mart (WMT -0.2%) declines to comment on local reports in China indicating the retailer will close 100 unprofitable stores over the next three years. The last official word from the company was that it would take its foot off the gas but still expand in the nation.

    WALM at least in zhongguancun and also E of Olympic Park in Beijing and adjacent to East Cn Normal in Shanghai was or is really lousy; at least the experience in comparison to the competition-- namely Carrefour and multinational others.

    Now I can understand how they lack competitiveness in other Asian and European countrties.
