Microsoft has invested $750M in the program since '03. The latest round comes at a time when Apple is making new inroads into the education market, aided by the iPad.

While I think that the iPad is great for education, the Nook or any other tablet is probably equal in terms of overall value.
In any event I think it's time we stop the mass printing of textbooks that cost 70-200$ each and get changed every year... gotta love those professors who assign their own books for their classes lol...
