The French government strikes a deal with ArcelorMittal (MT) which will see the company invest €180M ($234M) in its Florange steelworks, allowing ~600 jobs at two shuttered blast furnaces to be saved. Also, MT's patent infringement suit against AK Steel (AKS) is revived by a U.S. federal appeals court; the case involves a process to make steel stronger for use in auto manufacturing.
