We should see most of the hurricane-related job losses go away in December and January and there will probably be a small boost to employment, on the back of the reconstruction and cleanup effort, between now and February.

It is amazing that Mark Zandi has any credibility. Perhaps the bigger question is why do economists have any credibility? I have come to the point that I question the distinction between the dismal science of economics versus voodoo/black magic. There seems to be little accountability or little structure to how they derive their opinions.
