Not surprisingly, Microsoft (MSFT) is joining Amazon and Google in the cloud storage price war: Redmond is cutting prices for Azure Storage by as much as 28%, its first big cut since March. The biggest market share impact of these cuts might end up being felt by companies whose cost structures leave them ill-suited to return fire, and have to find other ways to compete. H-P (HPQ), for example, is promoting its ability to offer enterprises 99.95% uptime guarantees and a "full-service relationship" for its cloud infrastructure services. (Rackspace)
