Though RIM's (RIMM) first BlackBerry 10 hardware sales are expected within 30 days of a Jan. 30 event, analysts at Detwiler Fenton say they "understand" its first QWERTY keyboard BB10 device won't arrive until June. Moreover, the firm believes AT&T and T-Mobile won't begin selling BB10 devices until March, and Verizon and Sprint until May. This leads Detwiler to think RIM will ship only 400K BB10 units in the Feb. quarter, and 2.2M-2.5M in the May quarter. The gloomy forecast comes as RIM says it will provide free BB10 server upgrades to customers who buy BB10 smartphones.
