Qihoo (QIHU -1.1%) and Nokia (NOK +2.1%) will partner to offer a custom phone for the Chinese market, a source tells Marbridge Consulting. Qihoo, which could integrate its browser, antivirus software, and search engine with the phone, is no stranger to partnerships with phone OEMs. Neither is rival Baidu, which is teaming up with Lenovo to offer a phone leveraging its Android-based OS. Nokia, whose Chinese sales have plunged, just launched the Lumia 920T and 620 for China Mobile.

After one month waiting, I finally got my Lumia 920. As a Chinese, I immediately try turn on the Chinese lauguage. The chinese input method is greatly improved comparing Lumia 900. It even has handwriting input. It means even if you could not pronouce the word, you still could manage to input Chinese character. I believe Chinese user would be happy with 920T, and Lumia 620 would have big audience. So iphone, windows, android would all have ecosystem in future mobile market. Android has high, middle, low end. windows has high, middle level while apple only has high end. For Nokia, it has s40 as low level phone. So future competition would be still between Nokia and Samsung. While Apple would be high end player. Long Nokia

Lumia 900 has handwriting input in Chinese. Both simplified and traditional character. I just checked again to make sure that I am not crazy.

Oh, I do not notice there is handwriting input in L 900 after using a couple of month. But anyway, normal input method is enhanced also. Originally it is English keyboard, now it is Chinese tailored keyboard, it is faster.

Tried the handwriting for the past a couple of hours, its accuracy is high. It has not made any mistake yet.

Qihoo a cn browser in development. Google cn or rather google.hk needs improvements for Baidu to copy.

I was not betting on continuous positive news flow. The upward momentum for NOK will continue for a bit longer. But when reality sets back there will be a short term correction.
