Pete Korce, the VP of Dell's EqualLogic/NAS storage sales, will run things for now. Thomas' departure comes after Dell reported a disappointing 3% Y/Y drop in company-developed storage gear, which is highly focused on the mid-range market. Counting the impact of the evaporated EMC reseller deal, sales fell 16%. Dell named a new services chief earlier this week.
