Double Check the Teck - The stock rebounded smartly from a near 3% intraday loss especially after 2:15 when the company press released that the problems at Westshore Terrminals Berth One would not affect metallurgical coal shipments for Q4 as alternate arrangements had been made. ON the TSX, TCK.b was down 1.1% for the day after dealing with the above logistics concern, a broker downgrade following cosmetic year end adjustments on met coal prices for next year and finally a 500 share trade occurred some 2% below the closing price on the NYSE at 5:15 PM. which would seem to be an error

In contrast ,Teck stock was strong up close to 2% for the week making new recovery highs for one, three, six month periods. As well the last time I looked the Chinese to ignite their slowing economy pumped in well over $100 billion in public works projects in September with recent economic statistics showing the positive impact of such an initiative
