    Amazon (AMZN -1.8%) has discounted all 8 of its 8.9" Kindle Fire HD SKUs by $50 in a one-day sale. This has led Gizmodo to wonder if the 8.9" Fire HD, which (much like the 7" version) received mixed reviews, is flopping. Though Amazon claims supplies are limited, all 8 models are still in stock.

    Amazon should give free Kindel fire to its Prime Member. Why Prime Members have to pay for the tablet that will lock me into buying everything from Amazon.com.

    The device has flopped, being 8th-15th on the best sellers' list is too low for that kind of device, implies sales are too low.

    But the promotion works, the device is already up to 3rd in the sellers list.
